ഗുരുവായൂർ കേശവൻ 🐘🙏 | ഭഗവാനെ വണങ്ങിയ ഗജരാജൻ | ഏകാദശി കഥ

1922-ൽ നിലമ്പൂർ വലിയ തമ്പുരാൻ നേർച്ചയായി നടയിരുത്തിയ ഒരു കുഞ്ഞിക്കൊമ്പൻ. അവൻ ഗുരുവായൂരപ്പന്റെ സ്വന്തം കേശവനായി വളർന്നു. (A little tusker offered in 1922 by the Valiya Raja of Nilambur as a vow. He grew up to be Guruvayurappan's own Keshavan.)

തിടമ്പേറ്റാൻ പൂജാരിക്കു മുന്നിൽ മുട്ടുകുത്തിയ ആന, ദൂരെനിന്ന് ഒറ്റയ്ക്ക് നടന്ന് ഗുരുവായൂരിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചെത്തിയ ആന, 1973-ൽ "ഗജരാജൻ" എന്ന പദവി നേടിയ ആന. 1976-ലെ ഏകാദശി നാളിൽ, ഭഗവാന്റെ നേർക്ക് തുമ്പിക്കൈ ഉയർത്തി വണങ്ങി അവൻ യാത്രയായി. (The elephant who knelt before the priest to carry the Lord's thidambu, who walked back to Guruvayur alone from far away, who earned the title "Gajarajan" in 1973. On Ekadasi day in 1976, he raised his trunk to the Lord one last time and left.)

ഇന്നും ഓരോ ഗുരുവായൂർ ഏകാദശിയിലും ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ ആനകൾ കേശവന്റെ പ്രതിമയ്ക്കു മുന്നിൽ അണിനിരന്ന് അവനെ ഓർക്കുന്നു. (Even today, on every Guruvayur Ekadasi, the temple elephants line up before Keshavan's statue to remember him.)
